1983 Chrysler Imperial

This is a clean title vehicle that shows zero accidents or damage via Carfax and only 34k miles! This car is in amazing original condition inside and out and runs and drives perfectly. The Imperial is a very special and rare car. 1983 is the last year for the Imperial as a seperate brand from Chrysler like Lincoln is to Ford and Caddilac is to GM. This Imperial was made from 1981-1983. The only built 932 of these cars in the final 1983 model year for the US market. There is a very interesting story behind these cars. They cost Chrysler a ton of money to make and the sold for over $20k which made them very expensive in the market. They touted fuel injection for the 318ci V-8 engine which was rare for domestic cars in the early 80's. Unfortunately they had lots of trouble with the FI and were recalled by the factory and retrofitted with carburetors. Many were bought back and some were even crushed. This makes for a very rare and collectable car today. That is one thing that makes this car so rare. It still has its original factory fuel injection intact and in good working order. This along with the immaculate condition inside and out makes this particular example most likely one of the best surviving examples left in existence. These cars were fully loaded with only options being Mark Cross leather, simulated wire wheel covers and a sunroof. This car has the Mark Cross leather and wire wheel covers but thankfully does not have the sunroof as they were prone to failure and leaking. This is a collector grade car that you can still drive and enjoy. The Bustleback styling is classic and reminiscent of british cars of the 40's and 50's.
