For sale is a 1992 Citroen XM Exclusive. This is a clean title vehicle with only 56k miles (91k kilometers). Citroen did not sell cars in the USA in this year. A company named CXA did bring a few in and federalize them in very limited numbers. This example is a Japanese market car that was imported to the USA under the 25 year rule. The XM was a technical tour de force! It was the European car of the year in 1990. It is fitted with a computer controlled Hydropneumatic suspension with sport mode and adjustable ride height. The brakes and steering are also integrated into this hydro system. It has the Deravi self centering steering as well. The body was styled by Bertone for a very futuristic 80's wedge style. It resulted in a very aerodynamic shape that yielded a coefficient drag of only .28. It is powered by a PRV 3.0 12v V-6 engine that puts out 168hp/173lb-ft. driving the front wheels through a 4 speed automatic transmission. These cars were VERY expensive and sold in limited numbers. They were built to compete with the BMW 5 series, Mercedes Benz E Class, and Audi in the day and topped them in many ways.
